It is with great joy and excitement that we announce the 2024 Secret City Improv Comedy Festival Lineup!
Get ready to laugh your socks off as we showcase 25 incredible teams of performers, from solo improvisers to large ensembles, representing 17 cities from 12 states across the US!
First up, a big warm welcome back to our East Tennessee favorites! Joining us again are the hilarious Einstein Simplified – Comedy Improv Troupe, Pretend Friends Improv, Blue Plate Special, Improv Chattanooga, and Playback Reloaded. We’re thrilled to have you back on our stage!
A special shoutout to the fantastic Nick Condon, who will be gracing us with another unforgettable performance of Solitare the Musical. We can’t wait!
Returning for their second appearance, we’re also welcoming back the sensational Magical Lying Hour and Newt Work. It’s going to be epic!
But wait, there’s more! We have a bunch of exciting new teams making their debut at our festival. Starting from close by, let’s give a big cheer for Quakers Dozen from Nashville! We are also welcoming the short-form team from Hub City Theater in Jackson, TN. Representing Atlanta with flair are Au Guys, The Dynamic El Dorado, Hitchhikers & Appetizers, and Measure Island. From the sunny state of Florida, we have Intelligent Fools (West Palm Beach), Door Mats (Orlando), and True Story Improv (Pensacola). The Windy City sends us the brilliant Catbomb performing their Sci-Fi show Atomic Gas, while Cincinnati offers up the dynamic duo, Two Sketchy Dames, and from Xavier University, Don’t Tell Anna. From the Big Apple, we’re excited to have the sharply dressed Suite Tooth join us. The West Coast brings us Rollin’ in the Riches from Santa Monica, CA, and Bryan vs. Music from Portland, OR. From the heartland, Flow from Oklahoma City will dazzle us, and from the north, Comedy City from De Pere, WI is ready to bring the laughs!
This festival promises a weekend of non-stop entertainment at the Historic Grove Theater. Plus, we’re hosting two free shows with Hitchhikers & Appetizers and a free workshop at the Oak Ridge Public Library – Free Workshop on September 26th @ 6 PM and Free Shows on September 27 @ 4:30 PM and September 28 @ 2:30 PM.
Don’t miss the 4 workshops and 2 masterclasses on September 28 at the Historic Grove Theater. Also, on September 29, join us for a fantastic retreat featuring a masterclass, community jam, and an intimate performance for participants. And yes, a delicious meal is included!
